Nestled in the Southern sector of Dallas- Desoto to be exact, the House of Dasha is undeniably one of Dallas’ most stylish boutiques. The womans boutique is the perfect place for trendy, comfortable and most importantly affordable threads and accessories. The chic space can also host private fittings for that girl who needs one on one attention. Housing its on cosmetic line Dasha Cosmetics, House of Dasha is your complete source for preparing a perfect night on the town.

I was personally graced with the opportunity to play dress up and meet owner Quiana McDaniel for a night of pampering. Sipping on bubbly I scanned the establishment looking for the perfect outfit. After trying on about 5 dresses, I fell in love with the fit, color and sexiness of Pink LaFreak (that’s what I named the dress pictured above). Letitia Owens made me OVA! Using their in house collection- Dasha Cosmetics, her and Dr. Faith Oliver transformed myself, pageant queen Rachel Yvonne Davis, naturalista Jaleesa Howard and a few other ladies into BEAT QUEENS!
Nibbling on Chef Felicia Guimont of Southern Best Catering addictive tasty confections, that was all a girl needed before a quick photoshoot with photographer Extreme Works Studio. Right? (Talk about some major sucking in- HA!)

Shortly after dressing, transforming, nibbling and sipping we were routed to an intimate dining experience at The Island Spot- Oak Cliff’s #1 Jamaican Cuisine destination. Here we feasted on a special menu featuring Lobster Curry and Shrimp, Mango Glazed Grilled Chicken and Jamaican Pepper Steak paired with their signature Rum Punch. I normally don’t eat seafood, its tooooo seafood-y however, the Lobster Curry and Shrimp was a savory exception. My favorite entree was the Jamaican Pepper Steak- tender with an explosion of flavor!
If you ever catch yourself in Desoto or Oak Cliff make sure you visit these Dallas treasures….
