MOONLIGHT Captures The Essence Of Love With Star Cast!

LOVE…. What is it really? How does it feel? Who deserves it? Thought provoking film MOONLIGHT captures the timeless story of a young black man from Miami, Chiron (Trevante Rhodes) who is struggling to find his place in the world. Chronicling his struggles from childhood to adulthood he learns harsh life lessons.

Written/Directed by Barry Jenkins the star cast draws us into a life unknown with stellar performances by Naomie Harris (Pirates of the Caribbean) , André Holland (Selma), Mahershala Ali (House of Cards), Janelle Monae (recording artist), Trevante Rhodes (If Loving You Is Wrong) and more.

North Texas native track star turned movie star Trevante Rhodes says the “Director was very precise on how he wanted it filmed” during a Q&A after a special screening at Landmark Magnolia for family and media. When I asked what did he learn about himself from portraying Chiron he explains “I am someone who tries to make sense of everything. Just live life and adapt to what is happening and just love because that's the only thing we have."

MOONLIGHT is the kind of film that anyone can identify with. The emotions shared on screen are ones we’ve each experienced. It’s the type of film that will remain with you throughout a lifetime.

MOONLIGHT opens in Dallas at Landmark Magnolia and Angelika Plano on November 4. Head to theaters to see why this film with an all black cast is praised across all nationalities.
