The Makeup Show is the most exciting and lavish event for makeup enthusiasts in the nation. Ten years running and five different cities it landed in the Big D to an audience of over 4,000!
Taking place at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Dallas, The Makeup Show covers educational seminars, hands- on workshops held by celebrity artists and exceptional product deals from over 75 top beauty brands like Smashbox Cosmetics, Inglot, Make Up Forever and more!

This year I met my dear friend, international makeup artist Stacy Uzuh of StaceFace Beauty and gained a brand new perspective of product shopping. She took to The Makeup Show to shop on behalf of Beauty Revolution Nigeria in Lagos, Nigeria.
Our first stop was Anastasia Beverly Hills in search of their new cream stick foundation. A must have for darker skin tone. Finding a foundation for WOC (woman of color) is difficult, mostly because we have so many different pigments in our skin.

Next we headed to NARS for concealers which are AMAZING because they are a long lasting, cream based concealers which can be built upon. We then migrated to land me the perfect bronzer, Melanie Mills Hollywood has the most amazing product: Gleam Body Radiance its sure to give you a the perfect glow! Owner Melanie Mills was on hand to share how her brand came into existence. She reveals that while working on set of Dancing With The Stars the contestants would return from the weekend with uneven tan lines that didn’t transfer well on camera. She noticed there was a void on the market for a product with great coverage but will still give you the glow… and thats how Gleam Body Radiance came into fruition!
I scored a new lipstick from AJ Crimson (who was in attendance). I had been looking for a great nude lippie that wasn’t too pink or too pale! Dallas native Melissa sampled the lip color “Perfect Selfie" on me and I fell in love- not just with the color but with how smooth the product crossed my lips and how moisturizing it is!

The Makeup Show Dallas had celebrity makeup artists James Vincent, Orlando Santiago, Danessa Myricks all in attendance for makeup heaven. Well known Dallas artists Bridgett Harrison and Lonice Stoker also came out to partake in the beautification!
Word of advice for all you makeup lovers- COME WITH A LIST and a GAME PLAN of what you WANT!!! It will make your shopping experience more enjoyable and you’ll be able to cover more ground!
The Makeup Show has already released dates for 2017, Dallas will partake in glamour on September 23rd-24th! Make sure you get your tickets early!
