The Island Spot- Oak Cliff held a wonderful media tasting giving us a bite of Jamaica with several flavorful menu items. Situated at the corner of Jefferson and Madison Ave at the Jefferson Tower development in Oak Cliff you’ll find award winning jerk chicken, delicious shrimp & grits, fried plantains and heavenly chicken and waffles all with an island twist. The 3,600 sq. ft. of upstairs/downstairs dining also hosts the Hottest Rum Bar in the DFW. Stocked with over 25 unique caribbean rums, rum flights and specialty rum cocktails on its Rum Bar menu, you’ll understand why its the “hottest” once you taste the Signature Rum Punch.
Sharing the Jamaican culture through “Rich Food, Reggae & Rum,” owner of The Island Spot Richard Thomas, selected Oak Cliff for the new location,"based on its up and coming potential and its culturally diverse community." Synonymous with Jamaica’s national motto, “Out of Many, One People,”.
With the expansion of the second location in Oak Cliff, patrons can expect authentic Jamaican cuisine, an expansive Sunday brunch menu, live reggae music (on specified dates), events, and the traditional relaxing ambiance of the islands!
Kicking off the island fun, this week (Oct. 17th- Oct 23rd) The Island Spot is celebrating their second location Grand Opening!
