Curated by the creative minds of Karen Michelle and Meko Krout- King, 10 Shades of Success is one of my favorite events to attend each year! Here at this event ten women in business are celebrated for their benevolent works in the community.
This year the Southern Belle Gala was no different. Hosted by last year recipient and radio personality DeDe McGuire of DeDe in the Morning, The SPACE- Deep Ellum was the breathing ground for this enchanting event. The stories from each honoree accepting their award was inspirational and heartfelt.

Throughout the night of mixing, photo taking and dining, last year honoree celebrity makeup artist and hair stylist Tiffiny Luong took to the stage to give us a snippet of each chapter in her new book- The Brushes and a fashion showcase by designer GeGe Gilzene (whose designs were seen on DeDe McGuire, Leah Frazier and Shamequia Cason) brought about a standing ovation.

Benefitting from this years 10 Shades of Success is Trend Next-What’s Now, What’s New, What’s Next. Speared by Shamequia Cason- Callahan (an organ recipient herself), Trend Next is a nonprofit organization whose focus is to bring awareness to the importance of organ donation and because of her partnership with Donate Life Texas attendees had the pleasure to register to become organ donors.
*Clap Clap* I look forward to next years 10 Shades of Success and the women that will be honored!
