Pink Pumps and Paparazzi is only the city’s most colorful, rococo runway show and guess what! It’s focused on something that ALL women love- SHOES! In its 5th edition BDonnas, Jacque M and PartyChaser created a 3-day weekend tagged the ultimate “PPP Girlfriends Getaway”! Hosted at the beautiful 5-star Hilton Rockwall Lakeside Resort attendees from Florida, Detroit, Turks and Caicos all came to luxuriate in relaxation, shopping, inspiration, entertainment and fabulousness with beautiful waters setting as the backdrop.

Friday began with a “girl boss” pajama party hosted by K104 fm radio’s own DeDe McGuire and Lady Jade with a panel of two reality stars and entrepreneurs Kandi Burruss (Real Housewives of Atlanta) and Draya (Basketball Wives -LA) who gave advice on relationships and business to over 200 of PPPs visiting girlfriends.

Saturday was all about the shopping, relaxing and more shopping with over 40 unique vendors with a variety of merchandise spanning from jewelry to unique clutches and clothing that led to a shopping coma.

Sunday was a day of inspiration starting with brunch hosted by myself featuring Dana Chanel whose “Sprinkle of Jesus” blog is created a 500,000 Instagram following who all share a common love, Christ.

Lastly the finale of the weekend is the SHOE show! Seen in the crowd- Dallas Cowboys’ Dez Bryant, Designer Smith II and Pink Lucy all came to gaze their eyes on the trends for the spring/summer season presented by BDonna’s. Behind the style is Latrise, she produces the most original fashion SHOEcase I’ve ever seen! Featured in the show is MintSwim (Owned/Created by Draya), a modern swimsuit line (who made its first runway debut) pieces ranged from demure to flamboyant. Asherah Swimwear’s (created by Dallas’ own Cejae) collection popped on the runway with fringe cover-ups and graphic prints paired with one of a kind handbags from Jacque M that will bring attention to anyone bold enough to sport the designs.

More significant than the getaway is that a portion of proceeds are donated to the Amadi Guess Foundation (AGF), an organization that provides after school programs and meals to thousands of kids. That’s not it! A Small Business Grant is awarded to a deserving small business owner- that’s the way to give back!

With a fun filled Girlfriends Getaway I would say that PPP5 was a huge success! It always fun to get together with the girls for a little getaway right?
