The Dallas International Film Festival is the city’s longest running festival. In its 9th year, DIFF seems to get bigger and better by showing over 100 independent films from 32 countries during the 11 day stint that's easily sited as a “favorite thing to do” in Dallas.

Movie stars, directors and producers from across the world come to DIFF’s red carpet to share fascinating behind the screen experiences of their featured film. With Q&A panel discussions and awards presented during the showcases there’s no wonder why the city comes out to support! CEO of Dallas Film Society, Lee Papert says “it’s much like an artistic traveling show that will show up at an museum of art, but its film and film is art. If anybody wants to see something unique and distinct and different, this is what you go to see.”
Dallas Star Awards were presented to L.M. Kit Carson- PARIS, TEXAS (1984), Blythe Danner- MEET THE PARENTS (whose film “I’ll See You In My Dreams” is definitely on my top ten list of favs) and director John Landis THE BLUES BROTHERS (1978) with a host of filmmaker awards and prizes throughout.

Bringing stars like Dirk Nowitzki, Mark Cuban, Rick Carlisle, Blythe Danner, Jency Weeks (Frisco native, who we’ll soon se in the new Jurassic World) Jermaine O’neal and a host of others, DIFF never disappoints!
