The Pin Show....22 Independent Designers Hit The Bomb Factory

The Pin Show…. Dallas most noted independent runway show brought 22 fashion designers to an all new location for 2015. With a sold out crowd anxiously waiting to gaze their eyes upon new threads in the 5,000 sq foot venue in Deep Ellum, The Bomb Factory was taken over by fashion enthusiasts from all walks of life.

Before the show I chatted it up with my favs Leah Frazier of DFW Style Daily and Courtney Walker of Edify Style. Walked to my seat and was greeted with a treat! Stila cosmetics lip glaze in Peach (every girl loves a new lip color). The musical artists were spectacular! Now on to the fashion…. there were sooo many highs but some lows which we’ll get to right now! (The highs of course! :)

Kae and Jae showcased white, flowy designs that breathe QUEEN! The Solange-esque collection appeared to give each woman a sense of dignity and confidence.

Sacred Hearts, oh my! I couldn’t get enough of the capes and jumpsuits! The collection embodied womanhood. Sexy but defined is what I would call it….

The Style Conscious was just that…stylish and conscious the mix of greys and maroons were a hit for me as I deemed the collection “sweats with a twist”. Capris, skirts and dresses walked the runway and I would totally rock this on a casual flirty day!

EcoArmoire showcased a beautiful, beautiful colored striped dress and crop top that screams spring! The demure look took my breath away.

Folksie played with color and tighter fits this season for their men’s pieces. The women’s caftan patterns were captivating as they flowed down the catwalk.

Megan Surber and her men’s collection has just what a gentleman needs (if you’re not afraid of color that is) the bright plaid print and velvet pants are a must for a man with style.

I’m glad to have met the woman behind Copper Signatures, Deidre Hardin’s custom jewelry outshines any piece of clothing. The story behind her designs is what hits home, her battle with lupus and the copper that saved her life is amazing.

ThrIII surprised me with a women’s collection this season! One thing I love about this designer is that he is NOT afraid to have fun. The colorful, sassy and funky designs are just enough for the pool/beach days coming upon us.

I want to personally say congratulations to my pal Whitney Bracey of Mahogany Blues for her debut in the Pin Show. The mix of plums, blues, maroons and gold meshed so well together and will bring attention to anyone sporting the one of a kind designs.

I almost drooled when I laid eyes upon the shiny jewels from This One Woman hit the catwalk. Perfectly adorned upon the models, the bold pieces of neck and head wear cannot be replicated and are absolutely suited for a woman of status.

Melacholic Designs, I cannot get enough of this line. I wonder with each show the designer participates just how will she outdo the last? And she does… the floor-length perfectly draped piece says “I am here”. I adore it…

As always The Pin Show will always keep you guessing. It’s wonderful how the staff presents such a spectacular production and designers to the blended crowd in Dallas. There is and will always be some form of fashion to fit every style.

So with that being said keep up the GREAT work and I can’t wait for 2016!
