CBS Radio's Design & Dine Draws The "In Crowd"

It’s that time of season for Design & Dine! The highly anticipated event which showcases the cities top restaurants, spirit/wine producers and of course fashion designers takes place yet again at Classic BMW -Plano. Presented by CBS Radio and Culture Hype the event draws out the finest fashion enthusiasts like Lisa Petty, Shemara Couture and Leah Frazier as well as gourmands to experience the night full of merriment! 103.7 KVIL radio hosts Steve Kemble, Leigh Ann Adam and Courtney Kerr took a break from the studio and hit the stages at Design & Dine to present designers Ese Azenabor, Melancholic Designs, Persona, NeoBantu and Mid Point by Devaun Robinson.

As soon as I checked in I headed to Rafain for the one and only bacon wrapped chicken skewers but pleasantly surprised with a 3 for all (sausage, bacon wrapped chicken and STEAK!) YUM! Cadillac Pizza Pub has a wonderfully flavored flatbread “Margarita” cheese pizza that was spectacular! I’ve never had anything like it. Lastly the Fluellen Cupcakes was just the right amount of sugar this tummy needed! Red Velvet and banana pudding were my flavors of choice and rightfully so.

Ese Azenabor (who recently presented during New York Fashion Week) gowns could be seen from across the room! The distinct sparkle of hand beaded pieces was an audience favorite. Now, I must tell you that Persona came ready to show! With the Ocean’s Eleven theme the men’s line showcased perfectly tailored suits for both men and women. Shall we expect a women’s collection from the designer soon?
If you’ve missed Design & Dine this year make sure to stay tuned for next year’s festivities. It’s definitely on my top 5 events to attend in Dallas where fashion, food, spirits and good people mix fabulously.
