Lights, Camera and New York Fashion Week!!!

Ok, I know you’ve been waiting on me to dish on what celebs attended the shows but most importantly the fashion trends you should look forward to this fall season so I’ll get right to it! AFTER I tell you that I am very blessed and pleased to say my trip to witness Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York has been officially marked off my bucket list! It is such an honor to attend 1 of the 4 major fashion weeks in the WORLD! Thanks again Karen Michelle!!

If/When you go to New York make sure to grab lunch or dinner at The Cafeteria, the trio macaroni dish that will send you into a cheese coma! Oh and my chicken and waffles were superb! Along with the lovely staff you’ll definitely get your “Sex in the City” on. Calling the Shelburne NYC my home for a few days was easy! It seemed to be centrally located (at least for all my destinations) and the quality of service was luxurious! I would definitely recommend these quarters for your stay.

Now, on to the fashions and such…*music drops* Sevyn Streeter ftg Chris Brown "Don't Kill The Fun"

Charlotte Ronson whose siblings include Lindsey Lohan’s ex, Samantha Ronson and Music Producer Mark Ronson (he has that banging new track with Bruno Mars- “Don’t Believe Me Just Watch”) collection showcased sophisticated style. Pieces that can be easily transitioned from work to a night on the town! She kept it pretty calm with hues of olive green, burgundy, navy blue pants, floral and sheer prints with sweater dresses. Spotted peeping the threads were Paris Hilton, Angela Simmons, E.J. Johnson and of course her brother and sissy!

Noon by Noor created a great blue light special with modern and tailored pieces adorned with jaw dropping embellishments that will make you jealous! The shiny silvers and blacks took over the runway and my world! Take a peep at what had CoCo Rocha, Olivia Palermo and all fashion enthusiast in a trance.

You know the name, and you know when you see the name that you are going to see some heavy hitting fashion! Herve Leger by Max Aria (the creator of the bandage dress) held up to its reputation (of course) by presenting a cohesive story in its fashion. LaLa Anthony and Michelle Rodriguez gazed upon the army of models as they hit the runway ready for battle.

*Bows* Mine eyes have never seen such amazing gowns. The intricate detail to each piece of sparkle will make any girls heart flutter. Idan Cohen knows just what makes a woman sexy and everyone in the room seemed to think so as well, based on the standing ovation and whistles received. Just ask J. Alexander…

I really love the fusion of culture the Asia Fashion Collection brought to New York! The project presented by Vantan and Parco (two companies based in Asia) selects 6 designers from the country to feature their collections during fashion week. Could you imagine the excitement of the designers selected to showcase? Designers Tsubasa Shinyo, Zokuzokub, Noirer, Athena Chuang, NelsonBlackle and old honey definitely met the expectations and brought Asian style to New York. After eyeing the show I feel like I was engulfed into the fashionable streets of Asia.

There was a room full of Misses…Miss Universe, Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, Miss J. Alexander, noted model Shaun Ross and Karreuche. I enjoyed getting a front row view of the collections students from the Academy of Arts University presented. Some of them I got, and some of them were eh, a bit to Avante Garde for my taste. Nevertheless many of the pieces were looks I plan to recapture this fall season.

Venexiana brought the VA-VA- VOOM to the Lincoln Center with her fall collection of gowns. With a variety of styles, patterns and fabrics the designer presented 55 pieces that were just remarkable. No other words to describe what mine eyes has gazed upon but pure opulence!
