The 46th NAACP Image Awards Brings Out The Stars!

On a lovely night in Pasadena California, the stars filled the Pasadena Civic Auditorium for the 46th NAACP Image Awards hosted by funny man Anthony Anderson. The NAACP Image Awards celebrates the accomplishment of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature and film and also honors individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors.

Our favorite celebrities arrived on the red carpet Feb, 6th smiling from ear to ear for
pictures and adorning fabulous fashions from top designers like Gauri & Nainika, Zuhair Murad. Inside the auditorium excitement and anticipation filled the air while waiting to see who would take home a prestigious NAACP award this year.
Featured presenters included Will Smith, Tracee Ellis Ross, Taraji P Henson, Russell Simmons and Oprah Winfrey. A special moment that sent the audience to their feet was when Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne appeared on stage together to present an award.

Many awards were given but highlighted recepients of the night include Clive Davis receiving the Vanguard Award, Spike Lee receiving the NAACP Presidents Award and Ms. Taraji P Henson receiving the Entertainer of the Year Award.

The show "Blackish"and the Movie "Selma" also took home an NAACP award making the writers and producers very proud of their accomplishments as you could cleary see the joy beaming from their face. Catch the 2 hour televised show on TV ONE.
