This year I’ve decided that I want to document my year more. I know you say well, you write a blog and etc buuut I wanted to do something on a personal level that connects with my spirit! As I was going down my Instagram feed I noticed a pic about a blessing jar and thought OMGosh this would be a wonderful idea and I love arts and crafts so yay!

To make a long story short I called up my friend and business consultant Jennifer Onwumere of Jen-Gerbread Marketing and since she was going to be in my area why not just have a “blessing jar” party? So I headed to target to pick up the jars (3 bucks btw) and a few stickers (all other supplies I had already) and prepped some snacks. (My gal Leah Frazier couldn’t make the shindig so she created one with her sister and we updated each other through text and social media!)
What is a “Blessing Jar” you say, welp it’s a GREAT way to count your blessings throughout the year! Every time you are blessed this year, write it down and place it in your jar. If you’re having a bad day, take one out and read it. The idea is that on the last day of the year (Dec. 31st) you dump all the notes (or blessings) and read them so that you reflect on your year and realize how blessed you are!

I love glitter and purple is my favorite color so you’ll notice that. I also added a little glitter inside my jar as well as feathers!
Will you do a “blessing jar”? If so, post it and tag me!
