An intimate look at the Ese Azenabor 2014 hand beaded collection!


Most people usually have bad luck on Friday the 13th but me, well, I found love with a new designer by the name of Esé Azénabor! When I walked through the doors at Fashion Industry Gallery and saw my blogger chic Leah Frazier I knew the night was going to be fantastic but running into Rachel Watkins and Hamilton Sneed further confirmed! After mixing and mingling and sipping on this tasty bloody red sizzling drink (spooky but later known as “dry ice Kruto Vodka martinis”) the show was to start soon. Her “Phantom of the Runway” began with a live violin player, Radu Cernat whose instrument went from standard to a laser futuristic violin (it was so cool) and an amazing way to start the show! But oh my gosh, when TV Personality LeAnne Locken introduced the collection and stated there were 48 pieces and the woman beaded each one by hand I was taken aback and ready for the first look to hit the runway! BAM- I was blown away instantly when the model stepped foot from behind the curtain. Keeping in the theme each girl worked a phantom mask and gorgeous, marvelous pieces dawling (English accent)

From the blacks to the blues to the golds and the nudes this show was definitely a treat to all my fashion senses! I’m a fan of the black, deep v sexy, sultry gown; the Aaliyah pants (it’s what I’ve coined them). You know, similar to the leather pants she had on in her “More than a Woman” video but instead of leather these were decked in beads, with slits that are laced up. In the gold collection the gold and blue sheer mini was Le’ Bomb, then here comes the dress I’ve been wanting ever since I was 7 year old…the mini shirt dress (you can imagine my feelings, I have finally found the designer of my dreams!) oh and let’s mention the black and gold deep V dress. I could go on and on but I’ll let you guys enjoy the photos and videos and get to the reason behind the jaw dropping show.

Benefiting Our Hearts Day Center a non-profit organization that serves teens and adults with learning and developing disabilities. Azenabor decided that 100% of the proceeds went to this organization because its very close to her heart. Having two family members with disabilities, including an uncle with Down syndrome.

Esé Azénabor and the wonderful team at Volk PR invited us to the showroom for an intimate look at the designs and her selection of beads. We go from cocktail attire to date night to galas in this segment.
