Dress for Success DALLAS hosts a Rocked out Fundraiser!!

Dress for Success Worldwide is an international non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of women located in 110 cities across 12 countries and last week Dress For Success DALLAS hosted their THIRD ANNUAL LIGHT THE RUNWAY FUNDRAISER. The Vanna Collins Show correspondent, Prezident had an inside look into the night’s festivities. The event took place at the Faye Briggs home and was hosted by Scott Murray, former Sports Director and Anchor at NBC 5 and D’Andra Simmons, philanthropist and CEO of Dallas-based skin care line Hard Night Good Morning. Produced by Harriet Kelly Gibbe she kept it funky with a garden party rock themed cocktail reception and father-daughter fashion show. The father-daughters took to the runway to strut their stuff alongside professional celebrity models to raise proceeds for Dress for Success Dallas’ local women’s programs. With the attire suggested as cocktail with an edge the night was full of cocktails, delightful treats and rocker chic guests such as Lisa Petty of DFW Style Daily, jewelry designer Shona Gilbert and Willie Johnson stylist and runway producer all in support!
In honor of one Katy Messersmith, founder of KatyDid Collections and one of the organization’s top supporters, the first-ever KatyDid Award of Achievement, was given to one client who has transformed her life through the programs and opportunities offered by Dress for Success. The award consisted of a package including health, beauty and skin care gift certificates, a $1,000 clothing allowance from the Dress for Success boutique and a photography session for career head shots with local fashion photographer Vera Crosby.
My correspondent Prezident (pictured above with attendee Ms. Young) concluded the night describing it as an exhilarating event that collided fashion and charity together.
