CBS radio hosted its premier Wine and Dine competition event at Classic BMW- Plano. The event was filled with great foods, new drinks, luxury cars and FASHION! Handpicked by Amber LaFrance of CultureHype, runway producer- Willie Johnson III and CBS Radio, five designers: Le’Venity, Abi Ferren, Mario Alberto, Hueso Outlaw Texas Roadwear and Shemara Couture had the opportunity to showcase their brands in front of the cities fashion mavens. Each designer took 2- 4 minutes to display their collections inside of a larger than life window display each illuminated with different scenes telling a fable. Dallas’ top restaurants adorned the venue with bites that were more than samples but moreso appetizers (a great treat for a foodie like myself). I was exposed to new spirit, wine and water vendors that were quite tasty. I spotted a few drop top BMWs getting drooled over by the crowd.
Hosted by Steve Kemble, America’s Sassiest Style Guru and of KVIL FM, it made for a fun filled night of generosity as a portion of the proceeds benefit the Junior League of Collin County.
I stopped by the Rafain Brazilian Steakhouse booth and had a stick of 3 bacon wrapped chicken pieces that were tastefully succulent. Chiladas had some nice, fresh guacamole waiting on me! (Anyone that knows me knows I can’t pass up guacamole!) Herradura tequilas were serving up shots of the aged Tequila, I tried the Silver (the weaker one, cause this girl does not usually do shots and definitely not anything that is strong) and was impressed by how smooth it was! My new friends at Scardello made that night the best night of my cheese eating LIFE!
CBS Radio did a great job at mixing up this event with other elements that an everyday gal like myself enjoys and not making it just another “fashion show”. The next time you hear about Design and Dine get your tickets STAT!
